Shakespeare Workshop

This workshop is designed to introduce the themes and language in a Shakespeare play of your choice, we tailor the workshop to meet your learning objectives, whether it be to prepare for an exam, work as a group or simply feel more confident prior to seeing a play in performance.

Students become the actors and explore the plays unlocking the character and meaning of the language.

• What is prose?

• What is verse?

• What is Iambic pentameter?

Students begin to work in more detail on the key moments of the play, analysing the text or looking at the play as a whole. Workshops are led by actors or directors who have worked with the RSC or the Globe and have first-hand experience working in the rehearsal room.
